METS vs BRAVES Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from Turner Field Atlanta

Fans of the New York Mets (25-40) haven't had much to cheer about this season, but today they can tune into a doubleheader featuring the future of the franchise, starters Zack Wheeler and Matt Harvey. Harvey (0-0, 0:00 ERA) will start Game 1 at Turner Field against the Atlanta Braves (45-28), which is scheduled for a 1:10 p.m. start time. The game can be live streamed here; Mets fans can listen to the game on 101.9 WFAN FM, while Braves fans can hear the action on 93.7 FM.

This season is about developing for the future in Queens, and Harvey is proving to be a stellar foundational piece. He has had some tough luck in terms of decisions in 2013, recording just five wins despite giving the Mets 11 quality starts.

In his last outing, Harvey went seven innings in which he gave up one run, while striking out seven and walking one. Despite that stellar effort, he was tagged with a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Matt Carpenter of the Cardinals said of Harvey, "He's as good as you're going to face in the big leagues. He's got electric stuff."

Despite this being Harvey's first full season in the big leagues, he won't be the freshest face on the Turner Field mound today. Atlanta will send Alex Wood to counter the Mets' ace; Wood will be making his first career start. In six games as a reliever for the Braves this year Wood has compiled nine strikeouts, four walks and a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings.

The man Harvey will need to be most careful with is Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, who socked a game-winning two run homer last night off Dillon Gee. He has tortured Mets pitching in 2013, boasting four multi-hit games and a .453 average against New York. For his career Freeman is a .311 hitter when facing the blue and orange.
