TIGER WOODS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: 2013 U.S. Open Live Coverage from Merion Golf Club

The U.S. Open kicked off yesterday and the treacherous trio of Tiger Woods, Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy was off to a bit of an underwhelming start in the rain. Woods is 3-over par after 17 holes, while Scott and McIlroy are just ahead of him at 2-over par. While Woods and Co. struggled, one of Tiger's chief rivals in the not-so-distant pass, Phil Mickelson, is pacing the field at 3-under par. The man called "Lefty" was consistent throughout his first 18 holes, nailing four birdies and only picking up one bogey.

Meanwhile, Woods' health is being called into question after a hand or wrist injury became apparent. Woods has insisted his hand is fine, and said that battling the weather is a larger concern than any ailments. The PGA Tour's main events have been constantly affected by Mother Nature in 2013.

"It's kind of the way the tour has been this year. We've had a lot of bad weather this year, and this is the way it's been. I've got a lot of holes to play tomorrow. And hopefully I can play a little better than I did today," Woods said. He is currently tied for 54th, but is just six shots behind Mickelson.

McIlroy and Scott are tied for 41st in the field, just one stroke ahead of Woods, but their opening rounds have played out differently. McIlroy has been steady but unexceptional, making par most of the time but sprinkling in four bogeys.

Scott, meanwhile, was more up-and-down, making four birdies and three bogeys. His opening score was done in, though, by a double bogey on the 15th hole.
