Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, is in the news today for photos of himself posted on social media that show he's been following in dad's footsteps and pumping lots of iron.
Patrick, the 19-year-old junior Schwarzenegger, posted pictures of himself flexing his shredded physique. He captioned the photo "Early morning pump! Who is getting into shape for summer? Gonna gain 7 pounds this summer."
Patrick makes an appearance in the upcoming movie Grown Ups 2; he plays a fraternity brother in the star-heavy comedy that premiers July 2nd of this year. While Patrick has a famous last name, he takes a far lower billing than leads Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade.
When Arnold was 20 years old, one year past where his son is at now, he won the Mr. Universe challenge, followed by a string of seven consecutive Mr. Olympia titles. The budding actor is also involved in Dear Eleanor a film also starring Jessica Alba, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman. On May 30th, he tweeted "Very happy and excited to work on my next film."
Arnold took his phenomenal bodybuilding fame and parlayed it into a long, storied career as an action movie hero. Arnold starred in two Conan the Barbarian films, three Terminator movies, Predator, True Lies, Batman & Robin, and two Expendables films, among many others.
He also became the governor of California, holding the office from 2003 to 2011.
