Tonight at 8:15 p.m. ET on Fox the Carolina Panthers will look to continue and improbable run in the postseason after winning the NFC South with a losing record. They'll have a brutal task winning at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, where the Seahawks were 7-1 this season. Live stream the game by clicking this link. Panthers fans can hear the radio broadcast on WBT 1110, while Seahawks fans may do the same on 710 KIRO.
Despite a win last week over the injury-plagued Arizona Cardinals, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera knows his team will need to play much better to win in this environment.
"We have to play better than we have," Rivera said. "We just have to be smarter than some of the things we did out there. We have to protect the football."
The Panthers rely on the ground game and making just enough plays to win games, often on the strength of quarterback Cam Newton's legs.
"It isn't the prettiest thing, but we got a date to the prom at the end of the day," safety Roman Harper said. "We're here. She's probably not the best-looking one; she's not going to win prom queen, but we'll have a good time."
The Seahawks are clicking on all cylinders lately after a slow start had people questioning their ability to repeat, especially in a loaded NFC West.
"We figured it out; it just took us a long time," head coach Pete Carroll said. "It just took us longer than we would like, but the thing that happened this year just happened in different order than it did last year."
The Panthers must deal with Seattle's own dual threat quarterback Russell Wilson, who has been lethal in his five postseason games. Wilson has tossed six touchdown passes against one pick, while rushing for another 169 yards and a touchdown.
