Fox 5 in Atlanta reports that police over there have issued a warrant for Slater's arrest stemming from an alleged incident that happened following the WrestleMania event at the Georgia Dome in 2011.
According to the report, a woman by the name of Corrine Oliver was working security at the party and she alleges that Slater put her in a chokehold and tried to drag her to an elevator up to his hotel room at the Hyatt Regency. Oliver claims that the attack caused damage to five vertebrae in her back.
The alleged incident came to light shortly after the Show of Shows in 2011, which was hosted by The Rock and headlined by the John Cena vs. The Miz main event for the WWE Championship, but nothing was heard of it after the initial report.
Oliver said that other WWE Superstars saw what Slater was doing, but they didn't try to stop him. She also claimed she didn't file a police report for three months because she told her supervisor about it the morning after the incident and thought that her higher-ups would file the report.
Slater, 31, is a native of West Virginia and has been a part of the WWE since 2006.
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, WWE's lawyer Jerry McDevitt said in a statement that charges were filed against Slater, whose real name is Heath Miller, and not the company, so no official statement was made. The WWE took a similar stance when Emma was arrested for shoplifting at Wal-Mart earlier this year.
It's unknown what will become of Slater in the WWE, but the story is continuing to unfold.
