On Sunday, when people would type CM Punk into the search box on Twitter, the first suggestion that would come up would say, "CM Punk arrested," though there were no reports of Punk being involved in any incident at all with law enforcement.

A fan asked Punk on Twitter why people were saying he was arrested, and he responded sarcastically.

"Because I totally got arrested," Punk wrote.

It is unknown why Punk was rumored to be arrested on Twitter, but it appears as though he is aware of the rumors and taking them in stride.

There have been rumors that Punk's wife AJ Lee could be leaving the WWE soon after dropping her Divas Championship to Paige Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at the WWE's SummerSlam event.

There is speculation that Lee is looking to distance herself from the WWE in order to focus on starting a family with Punk.

Lee left the WWE in April to move in with him and then married him in mid-June before returning on June 30 and defeating Paige to get the Divas Championship back. Following her loss on Sunday, it appears as though she could leave the company soon.

Punk quit the WWE in January due to his ongoing frustration over how his character was being booked and due to being burned out from the constant travel schedule.

Following his contract expiring in July, it was said that things between Punk and the WWE were worse than ever even though Lee returned in June.

The "Best in the World" has enjoyed many different ventures since leaving, including making various television appearances while he's also popped up at his hometown Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks games.

Since his schedule has cleared up, Punk was able to appear at the AP Music Awards last month where he said he was "never ever" returning to the WWE, and he also worked at Comic Con in San Diego on behalf of Nerdist, during which he said on his Twitter account that he hasn't had "this much fun in a long time."

Punk's longtime manager Paul Heyman recently said that Punk was done with wrestling and that he was under the impression that even if Punk wanted to come back, the WWE wouldn't allow it.

It's unknown why the bizarre rumor about Punk popped up, but it appears as though he is aware of it and ready to joke about it.
