Amid TNA's ongoing negotiations with Spike TV about keeping Impact Wrestling in October, there has reportedly been some panic backstage over the rumors of the WWE possibly moving SmackDown back to Thursday nights, which would make it a direct competitor of Impact.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there was said to be some panic backstage during TNA's tapings last Wednesday in New York City, which was the second consecutive night of filming, over the fact that the WWE may switch SmackDown from Friday to Thursday.
There was reportedly a lot of worrying backstage as the news about SmackDown mixed with people expecting an announcement regarding TNA's future with Spike TV soon has caused people to stress. It was reported earlier this month that Spike TV won't renew Impact Wrestling in October when the deal expires.

TNA management and president Dixie Carter held a meeting with talent to address the rumors by saying that the two sides were still in negotiations and Impact Wrestling on Spike TV isn't dead. There were reports that the meeting concluded with a positive vibe, but there have also been rumors that only some of the talent believes management while others are worried.
TNA officials couldn't provide a clear answer on the future of the company's affiliation with Spike TV, but they said they expect to receive good news soon.
There have been no new reports about how the negotiations are going with Spike TV and TNA, but if SmackDown does in fact move to Thursday nights for the first time since 2005, it will definitely hurt Impact Wrestling's ratings.
If Spike and TNA do work something out, Impact will not be able to be moved to Friday night because Spike runs Bellator MMA on Fridays.
It remains to be seen if any of the moves happen, but there was at least some panic on TNA's end this past week.
