It was rumored a few months back that the WWE will induct Steve "Sting" Borden into the Hall of Fame in 2015, and despite the contract talks between both sides taking longer than expected, the plan going forward is still to have him enshrined in the Hall in the Bay Area next spring.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, 2K Sports is filming commercials for Sting's inclusion in the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game this week in Los Angeles and they've already filmed the motion capture of all of Sting's signature moves several months back.
There have been ongoing talks for months about having Sting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame come March 2015 due to his California ties, and the reports indicate that it is still a plan for Sting to be a part of the ceremony next year. Sting was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2012.

Sting is just one of the many names being discussed for the Hall of Fame as it has been speculated that "Macho Man" Randy Savage, The Rock, Kevin Nash (likely as Diesel and then himself along with the nWo in the future), Rikishi, Victoria and Mickie James have all been discussed for the 2015 Hall of Fame.
Sting has been in contract talks with the WWE for several months now and the former WCW and TNA icon has never set foot in a WWE ring. Vince McMahon has come close to landing him before but for whatever reason he has always eluded the company.
Sting had interest in coming in and facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans on April 6, but the WWE considered signing him to be a "low-priority" and opted to have Brock Lesnar face The Undertaker at the show while dragging its feet in signing Sting.
There were then rumors that Sting may face 'Taker at WrestleMania 31, but after Lesnar ended The Streak at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and The Undertaker got injured, it is possible that he may choose to retire instead.
Sting reportedly has a physical contract with him but has yet to officially sign the dotted line for whatever reason. While the WWE was slow to sign Sting initially, it now appears that the former WCW and TNA Champion is the one dragging his feet now.
There was speculation that Sting may have one final match left in him for next year's WrestleMania and that he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before, which remains to be seen. Sting has been involved in WWE Network projects and is obviously in the upcoming video game, but the WWE is hoping to ink him to a substantial deal with plans for 2015 being a part of it.
It remains to be seen when Sting will sign the WWE contract, but he is still very much in consideration to be inducted into the 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
