WWE News and Rumors: Second Money in the Bank Ladder Match Possibility For Pay-Per-View [VIDEO]

Now that it has officially been announced that Daniel Bryan was stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and can't compete at Money in the Bank, the possibility of a second ladder match at the pay-per-view on June 29 at the TD Garden in Boston has grown.

Sting WWE Contract Still At A Stand-Still

There were rumors Monday that if Bryan couldn't face Kane in the Stretcher Match and the WWE had to vacate the title and put it up for grabs in the ladder match rather than a contract, a second ladder match would be made for a contract that is good for a WWE Championship shot within the next year.

Bryan received bad news on his neck injury over the weekend as he had hoped to return for the late-June event but the prognosis on his recovery wasn't what he had hoped. It is unclear how long Bryan will be out, but the WWE had to change its plans when the news was revealed.

Now, the original Money in the Bank Ladder Match will crown a new champion, leading to the need for a second match to be created. According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the second match is almost a lock to happen since the WWE enjoys the storyline of having a person carry around the briefcase for a year and be a constant threat to the champion.

There was speculation that the second ladder match would be announced on Monday Night RAW, but the WWE opted not to reveal it as its still under consideration but almost guaranteed to happen. The second match will feature up-and-comers with the contract on the line while the first ladder match for the title will be between top WWE Superstars.

It is unknown who will be in the second one as of yet and the first one still has three slots open. Alberto Del Rio qualified for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match on last week's RAW, and Sheamus and Cesaro did the same on this week's RAW.

Cesaro was originally a favorite to win the match, but now that the title will be on the line plans might change.

Randy Orton wasn't in attendance for Monday's RAW, but Triple H revealed that he will in fact be in the WWE Title ladder match without having to qualify, leaving just three slots to fill.

With Bryan's status up in the air, the WWE has decided the best course of action is to take the belt off of him and make the stakes even higher at Money in the Bank, and it may have even led to the creation of a second ladder match for the card.
