WWE News and Rumors: Pressure On Daniel Bryan To Return? Concern Over WWE Champ Coming Back Too Soon [VIDEO]

The status of Daniel Bryan and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will become clearer come Money in the Bank at the end of this month, but it seems as though there is a lot of pressure and concern placed on Bryan heading into the June 29 event at TD Garden in Boston.

Rey Mysterio To Take Legal Action Against WWE?

The WWE announced on Monday Night RAW that Bryan will battle Kane in a Stretcher Match at Money in the Bank and that if he can't make it, the annual ladder match that is usually for a contract that is good for a WWE Championship shot within the next year will be for the title instead.

Bryan sustained a neck injury from years of wear and tear due to his in-ring style, and underwent surgery on the injury in mid-May. The WWE has had a storyline where Stephanie McMahon has tried to get him to forfeit the belt but Bryan has refused to do so in order to kill time until Bryan's timetable becomes clearer.

Plans For The WWE Tag Team Championships For Money in the Bank and Beyond

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there is still no definitive timetable for a return while later this month is a best-case scenario and August's SummerSlam a worst-case scenario. The report indicates that there is plenty of pressure on Bryan and there is a feeling that even if it's not the best for him, he may return at Money in the Bank anyway.

The belief is that even if he's not fully healed, Bryan may tough it out and wrestle at Money in the Bank due to his mental fortitude and the fact that he always wants to be in the thick of what is going on .

The report also indicates that even if it's not said directly, it is implied that the WWE is putting a lot of pressure on Bryan to return because they don't want to continue to have an absent champion on television. The WWE already had to cancel a planned Buried Alive match between Kane and Bryan at last Sunday's Payback.

It remains to be seen if Bryan will wrestle at Money in the Bank, but it seems as though there is a lot of pressure from the WWE and from Bryan himself for him to make his in-ring return on June 29.
