Ric Flair may Wooo himself into WWE television very soon, and reports indicate that the "Nature Boy" may be coming to WWE in a manager capacity sometime in the next few months.
Daniel Bryan To Return For Money in the Bank?
According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Flair has an offer on the table for a more prominent role for television likely as a manager, but who the WWE decides to pair him with is up in the air.
Flair, who weighs 230 pounds, is working out in anticipation for his return and hopes to drop at least five pounds before he comes back. Flair is due to see Dr. Joseph Maroon for a full cardiovascular physical before returning to WWE as a regular character.
Sting Not Signing With The WWE?
Flair has always preferred to work as a heel, but it appears as though the WWE is set to run with him as a babyface manager to either The Miz, Dolph Ziggler or The Shield.
There have been reports that the WWE would pair Flair with The Miz as a way to continue the storyline they started a few months back where The Miz started using Flair's patented Figure-four Leglock after receiving permission to use it from the "Dirtiest Player in the Game." There is some hope that Flair can elevate Miz as a top babyface while some backstage have given up on Miz and believe he's a lost cause.
As for Ziggler, he is the WWE Superstar that Flair really wants to work with, however he remains in the company's doghouse as the WWE hasn't pushed him in over a year, so it's unlikely.
There has been talk of having Flair manage The Shield in a continuation from his last appearance on Monday Night RAW, but with the future of Evolution in question with Batista due to take a hiatus until August, the WWE may not do that.
According to the report, with the most recent deal that Flair signed with the WWE, the company still has to approve all of his appearances as there are negotiations of having Flair wrestle overseas during a tour, which the WWE doesn't want him to do.
Flair hasn't wrestled a WWE match since losing to Shawn Michaels in a retirement match at WrestleMania XXIV, though he has wrestled elsewhere.
Flair should be "stylin and profilin' on WWE television in some capacity very soon.
