Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets faceoff for Game 6 of their Round 1 Stanley Cup Playoffs series live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The game can be live streamed for free here. Pittsburgh fans can hear all of the action on 105.9 WXDX while Columbus fans can do the same on 97.1 The Fan.
Pittsburgh looks to win the series on the road and advance to the second round while Columbus tries to win on home ice and force a Game 7 back at the Consol Energy Center.
The Penguins won Games 1 and 3 by 4-3 scores in both arenas while Columbus notched two overtime victories in Games 2 and 4 each by a 4-3 margin and the Pens took the series lead back in Game 5 with a 3-1 win back in Pittsburgh.
The Penguins return to a sheet of ice that saw the team blow a 3-0 lead en route to a 4-3 overtime loss in Game 4 and the team will look to advance to meet the winner of the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers series in Round 2.
"It's been an up-and-down series for us," forward James Neal said Sunday per NHL.com. "We've played well at times and then it hasn't been there at times. We could've come back in the series and it be 3-1 and us looking at a game [Saturday] night to clinch it, but we just didn't play good enough for that to happen. We're going to go into a loud building in Columbus and have a chance to close out this series."
The Blue Jackets are hoping to bounce back from a Game 5 loss as Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stood up after a questionable Game 4 performance and helped the Penguins take the lead.
"We've got to make it tough on Fleury," Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky told NHL.com. "That doesn't mean running him over and taking penalties. It's going hard and making sure it's a difficult night for him, a difficult night for their defensemen going back and chasing pucks all night."
Dubinsky is tied for the team lead with six points off of a goal and five assists while Ryan Johansen also has six points off of two tallies and four helpers. Jack Johnson and Boone Jenner are tied for second on the team with five points apiece as each has found the back of the net three times and added two assists.
Paul Martin has paced the Penguins with eight points all off of assists while Matt Niskanen has two markers and four helpers for six points. The Blue Jackets have kept Sidney Crosby (0-5--5) and Evgeni Malkin (0-4--4) out of the goal-scoring column thus far but both men have contributed in other ways.
Pittsburgh turns to Fleury in net, who has had an up-and-down series but is still in position to lead his team to a win in six games after yielding 15 goals on 169 shots through five games. He'll be opposed by reigning Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky, who has been beaten by 16 shots in the series on 190 shots.
The Penguins look to win the series while the Blue Jackets hope to force a Game 7 when the puck drops on Game 6 of this series live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
