Elimination Chamber 2014 [VIDEO]: Brock Lesnar to be at PPV? Kane tells NBC 'The Beast' will appear, could wrestle in Chamber match?

With the WWE's Elimination Chamber taking place in Brock Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis at the Target Center on Sunday, there have been rumors that he would appear at the pay-per-view event despite not being listed as one of his limited dates on his WWE contract, and Kane told an NBC Minneapolis affiliate that Lesnar will in fact be there.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Kane appeared on the NBC affiliate in Minnesota to promote Sunday's pay-per-view and when the host asked Kane about Lesnar participating in the event, Kane revealed that Lesnar will in fact be there.

Lesnar is on a limited appearances contract with the WWE that includes only certain dates, and the Elimination Chamber wasn't listed as one of the dates though the huge episode of Monday Night RAW the following night that will include returns of Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker for the WWE Network launch is listed. It appears as though WWE may have worked something out with Lesnar to have him take part on the card in his hometown.

It's uncertain what capacity that Lesnar will be used in at the event, but it was rumored that Lesnar may partake in the six-man Elimination Chamber match that currently pits WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton against John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Cesaro and Christian. It was reported earlier this month that Christian's spot in the match was all but secure and he may be taken out of the match prior to the broadcast.

The WWE was reportedly planning to have Christian get taken out backstage prior to the match and replaced by his attacker if they were able to find someone as a suitable replacement for him, and Lesnar fits the bill. It's possible that Lesnar will take out Christian and take his spot in the match.

Lesnar is rumored to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 in New Orleans, so it's unlikely he'd win the match. However, the plans for WrestleMania have been up in the air and the WWE could possibly throw a twist that would see Lesnar face Royal Rumble winner Batista for the gold or be added to the match in a triple threat capacity with Orton, while it's also been rumored that Daniel Bryan may factor into the Chamber match.

If Lesnar's plans change, the WWE could put The Undertaker against Sting--who is reportedly close to signing a deal--at the biggest show of the year. It's likely, however, that the WWE will stick with Lesnar vs. 'Taker and start the build on this Monday's huge RAW episode.

With Kane saying that Lesnar will indeed be at the Elimination Chamber it's likely that he'll be added to the main event while the plans for WrestleMania XXX remain up in the air.
