Jon Jones next fight: Cain Velasquez only super fight available for 'Bones'? Chris Weidman 'needs to get his name a bit bigger' [VIDEO]

Jon "Bones" Jones remains the top pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC despite being in a blood and guts war with Alexander Gustafsson that could've ended with Gustafsson's hand raised by the official.

It didn't end that way though, and even though Jones has a big fight with Glover Teixeira coming up, fight fans are trying to figure out which direction the light heavyweight champion will go in next.

Long Island-born Chris Weidman is someone who has made noise about potentially squaring off with "Bones" but the champ shut that down for the time being. "A lot of people are starting to mention Chris Weidman's name and I think in order for it to be a 'super fight,' Chris Weidman needs to get his name a little bit bigger and prove himself against some other world champions."

Weidman might disagree, having defeated the previous pound-for-pound champion Anderson "Spider" Silva twice. The first time he knocked Silva out with a stiff punch, and in their last fight he defended a leg kick in such a way that Silva's leg snapped.

If Weidman's no good after defeating one of the greatest fighters in the history of mixed martial arts, then who is big enough for Jones? I think Cain Velasquez would be the only guy that would be considered a 'super fight,'" Jones said.

It isn't the first time Jones has made comments regarding the current heavyweight title holder. While Jones is an obviously gifted fighter many feel the size difference between he and Velasquez would be too great to overcome.

Jones disagrees, saying back in November, "(With) the Gustafsson fight, nobody thought it would be even close, but look what happened: The guy scarred me permanently in the face.

"I've learned to not think that I've cleared any division and to respect every style, every fighter."
