The No. 14 ranked Kentucky Wildcats (10-3), led by double-double machine Julius Randle, will take the court for the first time since December 28th when they open up SEC play against Mississippi State on ESPN 3, in college basketball action that can be live streamed free here. Kentucky fans can listen to the game on WKYM 101.7 FM, while Mississippi State fans may do the same by tuning in to WBUV-FM.

The Wildcats have proven thus far to be an ultra-talented group that is far from invincible. Now, they will enter conference play, a time of the season that tends to separate the men from the boys in college basketball. After a long layoff the Wildcats seem geared up for their newest challenge.

"I'm ready to see some new faces on the court," Kentucky freshman guard Andrew Harrison said Tuesday. "I wouldn't say I'm sick of (practice) and it's not over, but it's going to be fun to get out there and play against some new competition."

Head coach John Calipari said that one of the challenges of coaching this green team is breaking habits formed in high school that their talent could override. He hopes this extended period of practicing put a dent in those tendencies.

"It flips (the script) on them how they've always played," Calipari said. "The way they've played, and this is every high school player, is 'I am going to score this ball and if I can't score it, I'm going to throw it to you. But before I do, I'm going to take one more look to see if I can score this thing.' The other way is, 'I have it, I'm a passer and when I don't have it, I'm down ready to score now.' ... They're making strides. It's just getting them to think different."
