Jon Jones is coming off a brutal battle with Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 in which his burgeoning aura of invincibility was punctured, yet from his latest tweet, it seems as if he might be looking past his next challenger Glover Teixeira.
A twitter follower sent a message to Jones regarding multiple light heavyweights, asking him what the future held. John Tidwell wrote, "@JonnyBones Glover, Gus, then Cormier?" Jones responded with a tweet that can be interpreted both as looking ahead to his next fight, and insulting to Daniel Cormier,--"Could you guys imagine a Jones Evans 2?"

The implication in his tweet is that Rashad Evans should have no problem defeating Cormier, thus knocking him out of the running for a shot at Jones. Meanwhile, Teixeira is unlikely to be a picnic for the reigning light heavyweight champ.
Teixiera's won 20 consecutive fights, and recently defeated major names like Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, and Ryan Bader. As for Cormier? He has been angling for a shot at Jones for quite some time, and the two fighters have an obvious disdain for one another.
Cormier has in fact predicted Teixiera will be the man to unseat Jones from his pound-for-pound perch atop the UFC. "I think [Glover]'s going to win," Cormier said. "He's a big, tough, strong guy, he can wrestle -- he presents a lot of problems that Jon faced in Alexander Gustafsson. Glover's got to be 6'3", so, big guy too who presents a lot of them same problems."
Prior to UFC 165, Jones displayed some disrespect for both Teixeira and Cormier. "To be honest with you, I don't think Daniel Cormier really deserves a big fight," Jones said. "I don't respect him as a person. I think fighting me would be an opportunity of a lifetime for him. I don't think I have much to gain from beating Daniel Cormier because no one knows who he is, and he hasn't really proved much."
And when asked at the time about Teixeira, his comments were more measured. "I thought he showed signs of being a high-level fighter," Jones said. "I don't think he's ready to beat me. I thought he showed signs, being punched that hard by Bader shows me where he's at."
