Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has garnered favorable comparisons to basketball legend Michael Jordan, primarily due to their strikingly similar playing styles, killer instincts, and charisma.

However, despite these parallels, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard isn't particularly enthusiastic about being likened to the iconic figure of the Chicago Bulls, who is universally acclaimed as the greatest basketball player of all time.

Edwards has finally addressed the long-standing comparisons, mainly as they've gained significant traction during his stellar performances in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

"I want it to stop. He's the greatest of all time. I can't be compared to him," the 22-year-old told FOX Sports.

A fan-created side-by-side video showcasing highlights of both Edwards and Jordan has rapidly spread across social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

The caption accompanying the video reads, "Anthony Edwards is simply Michael Jordan with a 4K highlight reel."

Timberwolves guard Mike Conley Jr. has previously remarked that Edwards reminds him of a young Michael Jordan.

The 2023-24 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year has reaffirmed his stance, further doubling down on his earlier comments.

"Obviously, they have a lot of the same mannerisms. The moves, the fadeaways, the athleticism, the poster dunks, the blocks, the defensive stuff that he does. But really, just his drive is kinda the main thing. That same kind of work ethic, that same kind of 'I don't sleep at all at night because I'm ready to play, I'm ready to hoop," the 36-year-old told FOX Sports.
