Coco Gauff continues her incredible run in the Grand Slam as she entered the semi-finals of the 2024 Australian Open a few months after ruling the U.S. Open.
She is growing into an American ace and a star in her own right-all eyes on her from the Northern Hemisphere to the land down under.
Gauff survived Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine in the quarterfinals of the Women's Single to set up a match with Aryna Sabalenka, whom she beat at the U.S. Open 2023 final for her first-ever Grand Slam.
She is aware that she can improve from her quarterfinal performance.
"Today was definitely a C game," the 19-year-old said after the victory.
"Hopefully, got the bad match out of the way, and I can play even better."
"Today was frustrating because I knew how I needed to play. I just couldn't execute. Eventually, I was able to find it, which is what I'm proud of."
Right now, she is the last American in the tournament.

She has the support of her fellow Americans and, most definitely, her boyfriend.
Coco Gauff's boyfriend is being searched by fans lately, especially after she won the U.S. Open.
His identity remains clouded in mystery, although she is very vocal about him.
Gauff said that before she went to court for the U.S. Open finals in September, she talked on the phone with her boyfriend to put herself at ease.
"I just called my boyfriend, and I told him let's talk until it's time to go to sleep, so we spoke until 1:00 a.m., and then I went to sleep," she said giddily.
"I woke up this morning. Yeah, when I lost the first set, I still felt I was into the match, and I said, you know, I'm going to give it my all."
However, she did not name who the guy was.
Rumors have it that it is fellow tennis pro and American Ben Shelton.
The 21-year-old, who is also in Australia but already bowed out in the third round of the Men's Singles, quickly denied the rumors, saying Gauff was just his little sister.
Investigation into Coco Gauff's boyfriend's identity
The surest thing about Coco Gauff's boyfriend is she loves talking about him.
She goes giddy about her boyfriend's small gesture like a teenage girl.
In November last year, she shared that her partner gave her a necklace with an infinity pendant. She's been wearing that necklace ever since and was spotted hanging on her neck in an Australian Open match.
Gauff tries to be discreet when talking about the mysterious boyfriend, although she fails most of the time.
In an episode of the Tennis Channel's "Warm & Fuzzy," host Michael Kosta asked her about the type of music she listens to, and she replied with, "the type that makes you feel like you want to be in love."
When quizzed about the guy, she flashed a big smile and exclaimed, "Oh God, I hope he doesn't see this."
If she wins the Australian Open, maybe the guy would surface.
