Karl-Anthony Towns Girlfriend: Jordyn Woods
Towns has been romantically involved with Jordyn Woods, a social media star and model, for over three years. The couple revealed that their relationship began in May 2020 during the lockdown imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before transitioning into a romantic relationship during the pandemic, the model and the 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year had been close friends for several years.
Woods, widely recognized as one of the most prominent models on Instagram, boasts an impressive following with 12.2 million followers. Additionally, she has 1.5 million followers on TikTok and a subscriber base of 453,000 on YouTube.
The 26-year-old has been featured in advertisements for various brands, including the online fashion retailer Shein. Additionally, she has stepped into the fashion industry by establishing her own fashion brand, "Woods By Jordyn."
Woods was previously best friends with another social media star, Kylie Jenner, and the two lived together until their friendship faced a rift in early 2019.
The falling out occurred amid allegations involving Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson, the husband of Jenner's sister, Khloe Kardashian. The controversy revolved around allegations of Thompson cheating with Woods. Woods and Jenner reunited in July 2023.
Woods has shared that the strong bond between her and Towns developed from both experiencing the loss of parents at a young age. Jordyn's father, John Woods, passed away from cancer in 2017.
After the passing of his mother, Jacqueline Cruz, on April 13, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19, the Timberwolves star credited Jordyn Woods for playing a crucial role in helping him cope with the profound loss.
Karl-Anthony Towns' Family
Karl-Anthony Towns Jr. was born in Edison, New Jersey, on November 15, 1995. His parents are Karl Towns Sr., who is African-American, and Jacqueline Cruz, who is Dominican.
Aside from his mother, he has experienced additional losses during the pandemic, including seven more relatives who died because of the highly contagious virus.
"That day changed me as a man. I'm never going to get that innocent young boy back. That's gone. ... Ever since that day, I feel like the world just made me a little colder. It took what was most valuable to me, so I don't have that kind of feeling for it," the three-time NBA All-Star said.
Towns is not the sole child in his family. He grew up with two older sisters, Lachelle Towns and Malaika Singleton-Towns.
