The Chicago Bulls seem to be preparing for another significant move before Thursday's trade deadline as sources indicate that they are actively shopping Nikola Vucević. However, the team may have to settle for less than a first-round pick in return.

Are they willing to accept second-round picks if either the Los Angeles Lakers or Golden State Warriors lock in the deal?

Chicago Bulls Seek Value for Vucević

The Bulls are reportedly willing to trade Vučević as part of their continued roster overhaul following the blockbuster trade that sent Zach LaVine to the Sacramento Kings. It does not come as a surprise anymore since the team will rebuild around young talents for the years to come.

SportsWorld News has learned via HoopsHype writer Michael Sotto that two teams have shown interest in the Montenegrin big man: Lakers and Warriors.

However, Vucević's performance is not yielding the desired returns in terms of finding a suitable trade partner with a first-round pick. They will likely settle for multiple second-round picks, making it yet another trade that fails to bring them significant draft capital.

Warriors and Lakers Set Their Sights on Vucević to Make Playoffs

It is no surprise that championship contenders are targeting Vucević. The veteran center is no stranger to double-doubles, and it's evident in his per-game average this season: 19.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

Vucević is also not only a force around the paint as he could shoot from beyond the arc with his 40.1% shooting, not to mention his 55.1% efficiency from the field.

In our previous report, we wrote that the Bulls' asking price for Vuce was "too steep," indicating that teams should have a better offer for him.

For the Lakers, Vucević would add much-needed depth to the frontcourt after they traded Anthony Davis in the Luka Doncić deal. His scoring ability and rebounding presence would complement LeBron James as Los Angeles tries to improve its playoff positioning.

The Warriors are also in the picture, looking for another reliable piece to complement their star duo: Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. His ability to create mismatches as a floor spacer would be vital in helping the Golden State pursue a deep playoff run.

Teams Might Not Give Up Premium Players for Vucević

While Chicago would like to obtain a first-round pick for Vucević, the market is telling them that they might need to accept something less, Bleacher Report writes. Defensive limitations and his contract status might be why teams are unwilling to give up their premium assets.

Still, with multiple suitors in play, the Bulls have the leverage to negotiate the best possible return. Whether they finalize a deal before the trade deadline is uncertain, but one thing is clear—Nikola Vučević's days in Chicago may be numbered.
