JETS vs RAVENS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Week 12 Live Coverage from M&T Bank Stadium Baltimore

Today at 1:00 p.m. ET the New York Jets (5-5) will need to shake off a humiliating beating at the hands of the Buffalo Bills last week when they line up against the reigning Super Bowl champs the Baltimore Ravens (4-6). The Jets' fan base is growing impatient with rookie quarterback Geno Smith and the inconsistent overall play of Gang Green, which has failed to put together a streak of any kind in 2013. "We know our fans deserve better, and we certainly are going to play better," coach Rex Ryan said.

Smith is potentially on the verge of a benching, thanks to his league-leading 20 total turnovers this year. The Jets control their own destiny in terms of reaching the playoffs, so mistakes can't be tolerated much longer. Smith remains confident in his abilities, though, and says his statistics are misleading in some ways.

"I don't think statistics tell every single thing, every part of the story," Smith said. "I obviously don't want my stats to look like that and I don't want to play like that. But I've gotten better. I've become a smarter player."

As far as the calls for him to be taken off the field, and Matt Simms installed as the starter Smith shrugged them off. "I think every player in the NFL, everyone's job is on the line, every single person," Smith said. "That's day to day, no one's job is 100 percent secured."

Joe Flacco has struggled as well in 2013, and said as much to reporters. "We all wish we could play better, and that starts with me," Flacco said. "Up to this point, no, I haven't and we haven't played the way we want to -- or should.

"It's annoying. I'm a guy that does not like to throw interceptions. Believe me, I don't like the fact that when you look at what we've done, that I've thrown (13 interceptions). That's tough."
