Reports about the San Francisco 49ers recent move are all over the news as of late. For the past few days, the 49ers are busy either moving or changing their roster and front office. Now, another big move is coming as they are set to sign free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer. Will he be reunited with 49ers new head coach Kyle Shanahan?

The San Francisco 49ers is one team that had an awful performance last season. They finished in the last place of the NFC division holding a dismal 2-14 win-loss record. Part of their dismal showing is the lackluster offense they have shown as they struggle to put decent numbers last season.

The San Francisco 49ers have one of the worst offense in the 2016 NFL season as they only averaging 19.3 points (27th) and total yards of 308.1 (31st). 49ers quarterbacks Colin Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert failed to stabilize their offense which seems to be the reason for their meltdown. Now that Kaepernick just recently opts out of his contract, it paves the way for the 49ers to consider to sign free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer.

According to NFL.com, the San Francisco 49ers and Brian Hoyer reportedly agrees to a two-year principle deal. The 31-year old quarterback was allegedly also pursued by the New York Jets but it seems that he wants to be reunited with 49ers new head coach Kyle Shanahan. Shanahan served as the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns in 2014 while Hoyer is playing as a quarterback for the team.

Brian Hoyer will never have a hard time adjusting to Shanahan system as they previously worked before in Cleveland. Aside from Hoyer, the San Francisco 49ers already added wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and also expecting to acquire another wide receiver Pierre Garcon in the coming days.

Sports Illustrated further report that the move of the getting Brian Hoyer is a viable option for the San Francisco 49ers. As of this moment, the 49ers don't have any quarterback as Kaepernick opts out and their other quarterback is set to hit the free agency market.

However, Brian Hoyer could be a short-term rental for the San Francisco 49ers just to alleviate the need for a quarterback next season for them. Many still expect that the 49ers will use their no. 2 pick to get a future quarterback on the draft day.
