Even though the Houston Texans didn't go deep in the playoffs, it is still a good effort from a young team striving to be a great someday. And it seems that they are looking ahead and wants to build a contender team next season. Recent reports are saying that they are one of the teams chasing Tony Romo in the trade market.

According to CBSSports, Tony Romo could be the most sought after quarterback if the Cowboys decides to release him. Though Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones are still upbeat that they can still retain Romo, several teams are already lining up to acquire his services.

Teams such as Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that showed interest of getting Tony Romo. But it seems that the Houston Texans have the big advantage among them. It seems that the Texans have the asset that the Dallas Cowboys could be looking for.

According to FOXSports, with wide receivers Terrance Williams and Brice Butler set to become a free agent, the Dallas Cowboys would want a replacement for them and the Houston Texans are said to be offering Jaelen Strong as trade swap for Tony Romo.

The Houston Texans already have a full of wide receiver on their roster and they can afford to release Jaelen Strong as trade offers to the Dallas Cowboys. Though the value of Strong is not equal to Tony Romo's caliber, this could the closest the Texans could propose to the Cowboys. However, some suggested that the Texans could also add a late-round pick to sweeten up the pot for the Cowboys.
