And now that he is a free agent, one former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver thinks that Marshall could be the Ravens are just looking for.

According to CBSSports, newly retired Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith believed that Brandon Marshall would be a 'good fit' for the Ravens. Aside from being a good receiver, Smith considers Marshall a better playmaker which could give a big advantage for the Ravens.

Steve Smith, who played for the league for sixteen seasons, just recently announced his retirement. With Smith's departure, the Baltimore Ravens are down with one high caliber receiver who have an illustrious career as a football player. And Smith believes that Brandon Marshall could be an ideal replacement for him to the team.

Brandon Marshall has been to four teams in 11 years as a football player and seeking for at least a playoff experience could somehow give him satisfaction as a player. Marshall is also a six-time Pro Bowler and it's not surprising to get the attention of many teams.

NFL.com further narrated that Brandon Marshall is seeking to join a team who can contend for a Super Bowl title. Marshall has never been to the playoffs and the Baltimore Ravens, who've been in the playoffs in six out of nine seasons, could be the team to give him the first taste of the postseason.
