Reports about Trumaine Johnson status has been the hot topic of online news as of late. Though Johnson just recently signed his franchise tag, it doesn't assure him that he'll be staying to the Los Angeles Rams for long term. Now, rumors are spreading that the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets are two teams that could be a possible destination for him.

Trumaine Johnson, who became a free agent after the 2016 NFL season, decide to sign the $16.7 million offer on Monday. The offer only assures Johnson that he'll be under contract with the Los Angeles Rams for one more year but could change if certain stipulation is not met.

However, Trumaine Johnson and the Los Angeles Rams have until July 15 to reach an agreement for a multi-year deal. But it appears that it will not take that long as recent reports are saying that Johnson will still be traded in the coming days.

According to NFL.com, the Los Angeles Rams is said to be open on trading cornerback Trumaine Johnson and now reportedly being shopped to other teams. For now, the Rams are still looking to viable option with regards to Johnson's trade value.

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead stated last week that they are still looking if Trumaine Johnson can adjust to now Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips system. And if it fails, sending Johnson to another team is the next plausible move for them. And it appears that two teams are in the driver seat to 27-year old CB.

According to Rams Wire, the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns are among the top teams that could land the services of Trumaine Johnson. The Los Angeles Rams are also in the middle of budget constraint and trading Johnson could somehow alleviate their expenses.

The New York Jets have enough cap room (around $38 million) to absorb Trumaine Johnson salary. In the process, they also found a perfect replacement to Darrelle Revis, whom they release just last week. Aside from that, the Jets could also reunite Johnson and former Los Angeles Rams DB coach Dennard Wilson, whom the Jets hire as their new DB coach almost two months ago.

On the other hand, the Cleveland Browns could be also in the running to get Trumaine Johnson from the Los Angeles Rams. They have a $100 million cap space to easily acquire Johnson and could offer a higher salary if needed. He can also be reunited with former Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who is now the defensive coordinator of the Browns.

Will the Los Angeles Rams finally release Trumaine Johnson? Who between the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets is the best fit for him?
