England midfielder Adam Lallana has signed a new three-year contract extension with Liverpool as said by Premiere club on Wednesday. The new deal is worth to be around £110,000 per week for the England forward player which can be extended to the fourth year - if he agrees.
Lallana's old contract of five years has just two more years left which he signed from Southampton in a £25m deal in the summer of 2014. The 28-year-old Lallana who came to Anfield from Southampton in the year 2014 said on Liverpool's website, "I'm very proud and feel quite humbled by the show of faith from the club and the manager (Jurgen Klopp) in particular. Signing for a club like Liverpool is obviously a big thing -- but to re-sign shows you've obviously contributed enough that the people who make the decisions want you to stay longer."
Lallana began his career as a trainee at Southampton and he was the part of the side which was rising from leagues by leagues. He became an important asset to the team under Jurgen Klopp and that was when he made 27 appearances and scored seven goals in the season as reported by sky sports.
"I feel like I'm playing the best football of my career and I feel fresh and ready to perform at this level for a long period of time now; I suppose that's the challenge I have to make to myself," Lallana said and added, "We have a brilliant squad of players, who are only going to get better the longer we are together. I'm just delighted that I'm going to be part of it for even longer" as reported by Mirror.
According to deal, it is estimated that it Lallana will be paid £110,000 per week which makes him one of the expensive players alongside Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge. Boss Jurgen Klopp is very much determined to retain his star players and extend the contracts after doing the same with Coutinho, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn. He is also looking to promote his talks with the players Emre Can and Dejan Lovren.
