The WWE universe finally found out who John Cena will face at WrestleMania 33 after this week's episode of SmackDown Live. More information on Cena's opponent at WrestleMania in today's WWE news and updates that also include Vince McMahon being furious at The Rock last Monday.

In this week's SmackDown Live, ten superstars including John Cena was involved in a Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE title at WrestleMania 33. During the match, Cena eliminated The Miz and he was on his way to winning the match, as recapped by WWE.com.

However, The Miz re-entered the ring and tossed John Cena out of the ring. The 16-time WWE world champion was eliminated and he lost the opportunity to main event WrestleMania 33. Also earlier in the show, The Miz's wife Maryse attacked Cena's real-life girlfriend Nikki Bella.

Although not yet official, it is obvious that the WWE is going with the rumored Mixed Tag Team Match of John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33. Word backstage is Cena will be on hiatus after the event so the WWE did not plan something big for him.

This past Monday on Raw, The Rock appeared on the show to film scenes for his new movie about Paige's life. During the filming, the crowd started chanting "CM Punk" because his real-life wife AJ Lee was being portrayed by one of the actresses.

The Rock, who likes to play with the crowd, actually called CM Punk and left him a voicemail while the crowd chants his name. CM Punk actually confirmed it on Twitter and thanked the fans in attendance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

According to PW Insider, the WWE chairman and Triple H were furious backstage since they are not in good terms with CM Punk. McMahon reportedly cut off The Rock's microphone and sent out an official to tell The Rock to stop calling the former WWE superstar.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, The New Day announced that they will be the hosts for WrestleMania 33. They were also asked if they would like step inside the Octagon one day. The trio declined the idea but they revealed that they want to see McGregor in the WWE.

"There's a lot of WWE superstars that have given Conor an open invitation. So, just like you guys, we'd all like to see that happen. If it were to happen, it'd be very interesting, to say the least. Him on the mic is unmatched in the UFC, so who knows. You never know," Kofi Kingston said.
