WrestleMania season is in the air with the WWE's biggest event of the year less than two months away. Here is the latest WWE news and updates for today that include the reason for Bray Wyatt's WWE title win, Chris Jericho taking a break from wrestling, Ryback ranting again and more.

Reason for Bray Wyatt WWE Title win revealed

Bray finally won the big one at Elimination Chamber after defeating five other superstars. He both pinned John Cena and A.J. Styles to win the WWE championship. However, many fans were disappointed that Cena's 16th WWE world title only lasted for two weeks.

According to Cageside Seats, the WWE decided to give Cena that title so that he can put over Bray at Elimination Chamber. Although Styles deserved to main event WrestleMania 33, the WWE is finally ready to build new stars.

Bray is only 29 years old while Styles is ten years older, which means the WWE made the right move. "The Eater of Worlds" beating Cena puts him over big time in the eyes of fans. The decision also proved great since Styles is still protected and he could move to a feud with Bray later this year.

Chris Jericho taking a short hiatus

The reigning United States champion is still selling the beat down he received from Kevin Owens last week. He will likely re-appear at Fastlane and cost Owens the WWE Universal Championship against Bill Goldberg.

However, Jericho is not set to wrestle longer than WrestleMania 33. Cageside Seats also reported that "Y2J" will take a hiatus after the big event to be with his band Fozzy. The rock band is scheduled to perform in several festivals and they are also recording a new studio album.

Ryback blasts Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn

Ryan Reeves, more famously known as former WWE superstar Ryback, is becoming famous for his entertaining podcast called Conversation with The Big Guy. In the latest episode, Ryback blasted both McMahon and Dunn for their treatment of Tyson Kidd, who is still recovering from neck surgery.

"I'm gonna personally say it right here on my podcast - f*** you Vince and f*** you Kevin for not being men and f****** apologizing to this human being that you ruined and Vince, you are a f****** piece of s***," Ryback said.

Two title matches set for Fastlane

As recapped by WWE.com, two title matches were set for Fastlane in this week's episode of Monday Night Raw. Bayley will defend the Raw women's title against Charlotte while Enzo Amore and Big Cass challenges Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the Raw tag team championships.
