The New Orleans Pelicans - Brook Lopez trade chatter is getting louder as the Feb.23 trade deadline comes closer. The Pelicans is actively looking for a big man to pair with its All-Star forward-center, Anthony Davis.

According to ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets have been listening to every team's trade offer for Brook Lopez. The Nets is reportedly looking to get at least two first rounders from the Brook Lopez trade.

As for the Pelicans, the New Orleans team has been looking for a big man to pair with Anthony Davis. According to Foxsports, the Pelicans has inquired from the 76ers for Jahlil Okafor and is also pursuing a possible trade for Brook Lopez.

Jahlil Okafor and Brook Lopez has proven that they can create their own basket. Both players are averaging double-digit points this season.

Though Jahlil Okafor has more of an upside, the Pelicans may be better of in trading for the more versatile and still at its prime Brook Lopez. The former All-Star is currently third among centers in three-point shooting and is averaging 20.5 points per game this season.

An Anthony Davis - Brook Lopez Pelicans backcourt duo will be intriguing. Both bigs know how to operate with their backs turned against the basket and can also shoot the ball from the perimeter. Lopes and Davis are also proven rim protectors.

According to Basketball Insiders, the Pelicans has offered Tyreke Evans, Langston Gallaway, Tim Frazier and a protected first-round pick for Lopez. This offer is one first round pick shy from what the Nets is expecting to get from a Brook Lopez trade.

There are still no clear indication if the Brook Lopez Pelicans trade talks have gained traction. However, with the Feb. 23 trade deadline draws closer and closer, more information about the trade will certainly come out.
