Carmelo Anthony To Los Angeles Clippers, Blake Griffin To Celtics, In Three Team Trade, NBA Trade Rumors

A potential three-team trade involving the Knicks, Clippers and Celtics that will take Carmelo Anthony to LA has just surfaced. The trade will also make Avery Bradley a Clipper but LA has to give Blake Griffin to the Celtics to make the trade happen.

According to The Ringer, in order for the Clippers to acquire Carmelo Anthony, the LA team must part ways with its All-Star forward Blake Griffin. In the potential three-team trade, the Clippers will also acquire Avery Bradley.

The Celtics will not only get Blake Griffin but will also welcome back its long-time hero in Paul Pierce. Pierce returning to Boston for his final year in the NBA will certainly be one for the headlines.

New York will reportedly get veteran players, Jamal Crawford and Amir Johnson. But what is more important for Phil Jackson's Knicks right now is to free itself of Anthony in order to rebuild around rising star Kristaps Porzingis.

The numerous draft picks that New York Knicks will get on this trade will certainly help the ailing Knicks to rebuild. The only problem now is will Carmelo Anthony waive his no-trade clause to go to Los Angeles Clippers, which according to LA Times is a good fit for both Melo and the Clippers.

Anthony's no trade clause is not the only hindrance for this trade to happen, the Clippers is reportedly going to trade talks with a strong stance that Paul, Griffin and Jordan are not available. To get the Celtics in this mix, Doc Rivers must make Blake Griffin available.

Doc Rivers' close relationship with the Celtics will not make this trade happen. The Celtics should get something in order to even consider making a trade right now. With the trade deadline looming and the New York Knicks seemingly desperate to get Melo out of New York, exploring this possibility may be a good option especially for the Clippers.
