As the NBA trade deadline is less than two week from now, reports of trade deals to numerous teams still headlines the news nowadays. And one team that is said to be active on these trade deals is the Boston Celtics. Now, recent news is saying that they reportedly pursuing Indiana Pacer superstar Paul George.

It is no secret that the Celtics have been one of the active teams in the trade market last offseason. And they got one of the biggest fish in free agency last summer in Al Horford. But many pundits believed that the structure of their lineup right now is still far from contender teams like the Golden State Warriors and East rival Cleveland Cavaliers.

And now, it seems that they are still not done on bolstering their roster. As latest reports are spreading that there is one superstar that allegedly will be available before the trade deadline and a potential target for the Boston Celtics.

According to FOXSports, Paul George is one of the big names that is purportedly added in the trading block before the trade deadline. And it looks like the Boston Celtics are one interested party that it is willing to make a deal for him.

As the Celtics are building their campaign heading into the postseason, going after a high-caliber player like George would make sense for them. And with many tradeable assets at their disposal, striking a deal with the Indiana Pacers for George could be a big possibility for the Celtics.

NJ.com also reported now that the Boston Celtics already drop their interest of moving their pieces for New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, they are focus of making a deal either for Paul George or Chicago Bulls forward Jimmy Butler. And if the Celtics will succeed of making a trade for any of those superstars, the team will definitely be a contender right away.

However, pulling off this kind of trade for the said superstars will take some guts and compelling trade offers from the Boston Celtics. Both George and Butler are vital cog for their respective teams and even if the Celtics have the necessary assets and future picks, making it an attracting offer is another thing.
