Daniel Jeremiah has a surprising 2025 NFL mock draft just a day before the big day. The former NFL scout made one last final push to share what's on his mind about the new prospects in the league. The final list is full of twists, crazy predictions, and draft board risers.

Known for his sharp insight and impressive accuracy, Jeremiah's take could trigger curiosity for fans ahead of this year's highly anticipated NFL Draft.

Offensive Linemen Surge in First-Round Picks

Among the highlights of Jeremiah's new mock is a surge in the demand for offensive linemen. SB Nation reports that Texas phenom Kelvin Banks, initially estimated at No. 13 on the consensus boards, shot up to No. 6 overall.

More jarring was the jump of North Dakota State's Grey Zabel from 28th on the board to 11th on the projection. This change could indicate an increased league-wide focus on keeping quarterbacks safe and beefing up the offensive trenches.

Wide Receivers Remain in Demand

While the offensive line grabbed early selections, elite wide receiver prospects were not forgotten. Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan dropped only to the 12th overall to the Dallas Cowboys, who have him, or Texas' Matthew Golden reportedly targeted. Elite pass-catchers are in demand as offenses continue to get more pass-heavy.

Green Bay Packers Prioritize Speed Over Consensus Ranking

At No. 23, Jeremiah projected Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston to the Green Bay Packers — a move that would lose the minds of every Packers fan.

As higher-ranked corners Will Johnson, Jahdae Barron, and Trey Amos remained on the board, Jeremiah defaulted to Green Bay's well-documented affinity for SEC defenders. Hairston, who had a scorching 4.28-second 40-yard dash, is their prototype for athletic, high-ceiling corners.

Nonetheless, off-field issues dogged Hairston again after a combined week, with sealed charges of sexual misconduct dating back to 2021. Though specifics have not been disclosed since he was underage at the time, the scandal may hurt his final draft value despite having superior physical characteristics.

Controversial Fallers Highlight Draft Uncertainty

Jeremiah also predicted several high-level prospects falling out of the first round, including Michigan's Will Johnson (because of injuries and not being tested) and Ole Miss' Walter Nolen (because of effort issues).

Interestingly, ESPN's Peter Schrager had Nolen going as high as No. 11 earlier in the same day. That would only show just how split the expert opinions are outside of the top five picks.
