NBA trade rumors still haunt New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and it seems to be it won't stop until he plays for another team. Rumors are now spreading that Jimmy Butler is allegedly recruiting him to join them in Chicago where his good buddy Dwyane Wade is also playing.

Since last month, Carmelo Anthony has been linked to numerous trade deals after expressing his disappointment with the poor performance of the New York Knicks. He is also not happy after reports spread that Knicks president Phil Jackson wants him out of the team. Many believed that future of Melo is not with the Knicks anymore and it would be wise if the team will let him go.

On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls wants to solidify their chances of making it to the postseason. Currently, they are at that 7th spot of the Eastern Conference holding a 26-27 win-loss record. Now, there are speculations that Jimmy Butler is pushing to have Melo on their roster.

According to CBSSports, Bulls forward Jimmy Butler confirmed that he made a call earlier this week to Carmelo Anthony which he said to be a "catch up" call between the two. However, the call flared speculations that he is not only checking the status of his 2016 Olympic teammate but actively recruiting Melo to join them in Chicago.

The two already build a strong bond during their stint as teammates for the US Basketball Olympic team. And that closeness will be a great factor if ever to convince Melo to join them and waive his no-trade clause on his contract with the Knicks. Aside from that, his best friend Dwyane Wade might also sway him to suit up for the Chicago Bulls and leave the New York Knicks behind.

Sporting News further reported that Jimmy Butler will be glad to welcome Carmelo Anthony in Chicago if ever he waives his no-trade clause and the Knicks would eventually trade him. However, Butler and company must persuade Melo that the Bulls is a playoff contender team and his arrival could somehow challenge and compete with the elite team like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

Will the reportedly move of Jimmy Butler of recruiting Carmelo Anthony would come into great fruition?
