The Orlando Magic continues to struggle and seems to be off to another disappointing performance this season. Recent reports are saying that they have put Serge Ibaka on the trading block in order to acquire a valuable asset in return. Rumors are now spreading that there is a possibility that Ibaka and former teammate James Harden might join forces to the Houston Rockets before the trade deadline.

The Magic are expected to have a good showing this season after getting some talented and proven players last summer. They've acquired Ibaka, Bismack Biyombo, Jeff Green and D.J. Augustin thru trades or in free agency hoping that they will bring big contribution to the team. But expectation seems to be failing most especially to Ibaka whom the team had high hopes.

Coming from a title contender team last season, the Oklahoma City Thunder, many Magic fans expects that Ibaka will bring the same trademark to the team. But it appears that he is making the team worst particularly on the defense where he is known for. Aside from defense, the team also have a slumping on offense which caught the attention of Magic general manager Rob Hennigan.

With that in mind, recent reports are saying that Magic front office is looking to solve that problem by moving Serge Ibaka in a trade. According to FOXSports, the Orlando Magic hopes to move the 27-year power forward and now pushing to trade him before the trade deadline ends. Some pundits are also saying that bringing him to the Magic camp is a disaster as he's hardly been a factor for them.

Aside from that, Ibaka will become an unrestricted free agent after this season and the guarantee that he will stay with the team is not clear. And now, rumors are saying that it is better to trade Ibaka right now rather than lose him as a free agent for nothing. And it looks like the Houston Rockets is the potential destination for him.

According to House of Houston, the Rockets can make a case of going after Serge Ibaka and reuniting him with former teammate James Harden is a good idea. Familiarity and chemistry will not be an issue between them as the two players have gone through so many battles during their days at Oklahoma City.

Moreover, the Rockets are also in dire need of a shot blocker to toughen up their defense which Ibaka is very capable of. The report also says that the Rockets are willing to give up young player guard/forward K.J. McDaniels plus wing player guard/forward Corey Brewer to the Magic for Ibaka. Now, it is up to the Magic organization if they are going to release Ibaka to the Rockets.

Will the Orlando Magic release Serge Ibaka and trade him to the Houston Rockets and reunite him with former teammate James Harden?
