Trade rumors to Denver Nuggets' center Jusuf Nurkic are starting to swirl around the news lately. As the Nuggets are making its final push to the playoffs, Nurkic is reportedly being put on the trading block. And as the trade deadline nears, recent reports are spreading that there's a possibility that he heads to the Dallas Mavericks.

Like the Nuggets, the Mavericks are also gunning for a playoff spot this season. Currently, they are at the 10th spot in the Western Conference standing and just two games behind the 8th seed Nuggets. Some suggest that they should make a tweak on their lineup if they want to assure themselves of a spot in the postseason.

On the other hand, Nurkic has been in the hot seat of rumor mills as of late. It all began when the Nuggets coaching staff replaces Nurkic with Nikola Jokic as a starting center. Now that Jokic is doing a great job, Nurkic was relegated to the second unit seeing his playing minutes declining together with his production that heats up speculation that he is already dispensable to the team.

With this notion, one report is saying the Nurkic could be on his way to a new team. According to FOXSports, the Denver Nuggets are allegedly considering of trading the 22-year old Bosnian center and just looking for a trade partner for him. And it looks like that Dallas Mavericks could be a possible destination for him.

The Mavericks are looking to build up their future and securing pieces for it right now is important. Sooner or later, franchise player Dirk Nowitzki will retire and the Mavericks team must look for his replacement. And trading for Nurkic is a good option for them while Nowitzki is still around to guide him and hone more his talent.

Mavs Moneyball also reported that the Jusuf Nurkic might be a perfect fit for the Dallas Mavericks system. He is young and has a great size that can compete with other bigs in the league. He has the potential to become an elite player at the center spot and coach Rick Carlisle and Nowitzki can help him a lot.

He is already an outstanding rebounder and is a scoring threat inside but there's more room to improve his defensive skills. He is also a great fit to coach Carlisle's pick and roll style as he is already accustomed to it.
