The Los Angeles Clippers are doing well in the ongoing regular season. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers are on the verge of having another disappointing season. But recent news is saying that Clippers' superstar Blake Griffin is reportedly moving to their cross town rival Lakers either before the February trade deadline or after this season.

After having a great start this season, the Lakers stumbles to consecutive losses and currently at the 14th spot of the Western Conference division. Their lineup, which is composed of young core of players, seems to be not coming together and are just falling apart. Some recommend that they should trade for a veteran player if they want to salvage their season.

On the other hand, Griffin has been the subject of numerous trade deals as of late. Coming from a successful knee surgery last December, he just came back last week and already played 4 games with the Clippers. And trade rumor to the Knicks greets him on his return.

According to FOXSports, an alleged deal between the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers is the first news that welcomes Blake Griffin on his return. The rumored deal between both teams suggests a direct swap between Griffin and Knicks own superstar Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony, who is also linked to the rumor mills the past few weeks, is seems to be unhappy with his situation with the Knicks and purportedly wants to bolt out with them. Conversely, many observed that the Clippers are more successful without Griffin proven on his 18-game absence while recuperating from his injury. However, up until now, the alleged swap never happen and both teams never commented on it.

And now, one recent report are saying that Los Angeles Lakers could be on the move to trade for Griffin. According to NJ.com, the Lakers are said to be looking for ways to slash out some cap space on their salary in order to go after Blake Griffin either via trade before the trade deadline this season or thru free agency this coming summer.

And in order to open up a room for Griffin in the Lakers roster, they should move Nick Young and Lou Williams and waive Tarik Black's contract to free some cap space. But, there are other potential players such as Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, Paul Millsap, Serge Ibaka among others who will become a free agent after this season to watch out for.
