At 1:00 p.m. ET the New York Giants (2-6) will attempt to win their third straight game and author an improbable comeback into the NFC East divisional race, as well as the playoff picture when they host the Oakland Raiders (3-5). Live stream the game here; Raiders fans can listen to the game on 95.7 The Game, while Big Blue backers can turn the dial to 101.9 WFAN The Fan.
The Giants last two victories weren't the prettiest, but safety Antrel Rolle isn't giving them back. "We won our last couple of games, which is a great thing. Are we back?" Rolle asked. "We'll be back once we reach that postseason. That's when I'll say that we're back. Right now we're grinding.
"We're grinding, we're fighting extremely hard. ... We're pushing ahead and more importantly we're staying together."
Quarterback Eli Manning leads the NFL in interceptions this season, but in his last two games has kept the football out of his opponents' hands. He only threw one touchdown in those two wins, but the two-time Super Bowl MVP is unfazed by the tough stretch of play.
"All we can worry about is getting back to playing well and get on a hot streak and start winning games," Manning said. "It's all about us. We can only control what we can do. It might happen some weeks that a team might lose for us. They all might win. They all might lose. If we are winning, we'll keep in distance and give ourselves a shot."
Meanwhile, Oakland was in the midst of a pleasantly surprising campaign until it turned ugly against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Nick Foles unleashed seven touchdown passes against them in three quarters before Chip Kelly mercifully called off the dogs.
""I don't know if we were reading our press clippings or what, but the NFL is all about what have you done for me lately and what do you do out there on Sunday. If you want to be a top-notch defense you've got to bring it every week and we've got to do a better job next week," coach Dennis Allen said following the loss.
