Khloe Kardashian may have reached her breaking point with Lamar Odom, but his family isn't quite ready to give up on him.
The reality star has tried everything to help out the two-time NBA champion, which included halting their divorce proceedings following his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel last October.
Kardashian was instrumental in Odom's recovery, making medical decisions for him and supporting him emotionally and financially as he miraculously turned his health around. She recently flled for divorce, however, when reports surfaced she found drug-related items in the home she rented for him and once it was discovered Odom was hitting the bottle again.
While Kardashian is looking to move on from Odom, his family is staying by his side and hoping to help him kick the habits that have impacted his marriage and nearly cost him his life.
Those related to Odom are trying to find him a live-in rehab facility in New York City in hopes of getting him treatment for his demons, according to "Extra." The Big Apple would be an ideal place because Odom has friends and family there -- which includes his kids.
Though he went through a near-death experience, Odom has had a continued struggle when it comes to kicking his habits.
This apparently led Kardashian, 32, to file for divorce from Odom, 36, on May 26. The reality star also has a strong desire to have kids -- which may be another motivating factor for the split.
After filing for divorce, Kardashian decided to kick Odom out of his home due to his issues with drugs and alcohol. He was then said to be moving from home to home with different friends as he searched for a new house.
Kardashian has remained in the headlines for other reasons, including a rumored fling with Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr., among other romantic rumors.
Odom has said in the past that he won't give up on rekindling his romance with Kardashian, but for now his family's main focus is on getting him help.
