The WWE's women's division hasn't quite soared since WrestleMania 32.
It seemed as though reigning champion Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch ushered in a major change for the company, but lately the division has been stagnant.
Taking nothing away from Charlotte, Lynch, Dana Brooke and Natalya, but the WWE could use an extra boost. With the brand split set to be reestablished, now is as good of a time as any to call up Bayley from NXT.
The former NXT Women's Champion recently opened up about which main roster stars she wants to feud with in the future.
"Yeah, Nattie is one of them," Bayley told The Mirror. "I've had plenty of matches with her but I've only been able to team with her, I've never been able to have a match one-on-one against her. So that's one of the matches I've always wanted and she's kind of been saying the same thing for a while since she was in NXT for a little bit. I remember watching one of her matches from the independents when she was like, an ECCW Canadian SuperGirls Champion against Ivory. One day I wanna have at least one match against her.
"Nikki Bella as well, when she comes back from her surgery and everything. She's the longest reigning Divas Champion, she has been there for so long, so I feel like she's someone I can learn from. I know we would have a lot of fun in a match together."
One name she's missing, however, is Banks. Bayley and "The Boss" tore it up in NXT when they waged war over the NXT Women's Championship.
The bout between the two competitors at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn last August was easily one of the best matches of 2015. The ladies then had a memorable Iron Man Match at NXT Takeover: Respect in October and had a great back-and-forth match that lasted a half hour.
Perhaps rekindling their rivalry on the main roster is just what the WWE needs to help out the struggling division. "The Boss" has been notably absent from WWE television lately and even fired off a tweet saying she was "still here" during the women's segment on "RAW" this week:
I'm still here

The WWE could integrate Banks back into the storylines and finally put women's wrestling on the main roster on the map by bringing Bayley into the fold.
