The Stars are hoping to extend the series, while the Blues look to become the second team to move on to Round 3 when the puck drops on Game 6 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Monday.
Dallas is looking to send the series back to the American Airlines Center for a do-or-die Game 7. St. Louis, meanwhile, is looking to clinch at home and advance to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2001.
After trailing 1-0 in the series, the Blues won two straight games before falling to the Stars in Game 4 in overtime. St. Louis then won a pivotal road contest in Game 5 with a 4-1 victory to put itself in position to clinch on home-ice.
The Blues led 3-1 in their first-round series against the Blackhawks, but failed to close it out until a winner-take-all Game 7. St. Louis will look to avoid the drama this time around.
Robby Fabbri (2) opened the scoring for St. Louis in Game 5, while Dmitri Jaskin (1), Troy Brouwer (4) and Paul Stastny (2) also lit the lamp. Fabbri paces the Blues with 8 assists, while Vladimir Tarasenko is first on the team in goals (6) and points (11) this postseason.
Alex Goligosky (4) scored the lone goal for Dallas in the loss. Jamie Benn leads the club with five goals, nine assists and 14 points in these playoffs. The captain's 14 goals lead the NHL, but he has just one tally in the series and the Stars' power play has gone 1-for-16.
Alex Pietrangelo (30:05 time on ice) has been a key contributor for St. Louis, logging heavy minutes and keeping Dallas' big guns off the score sheet. Tyler Seguin (Achilles) remains sidelined for Dallas, a key loss for the series.
The goaltending matchup will see Brian Elliott man the blue paint for the Blues and Kari Lehtonen stand between the pipes for the Stars.
Elliott is 7-5 this postseason with a 2.20 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage after yielding one goal on 28 shots in Game 5. Lehtonen, meanwhile, is 5-2 with a 2.65 GAA and a .901 save percentage after turning aside 18 of 21 shots last time out.
