If his latest tweet is to be believed, Conor McGregor is retiring from the UFC.
In a world where athletes and others constantly use social media to troll people, it's uncertain if the UFC star's latest tweet is the truth or something he drummed up to generate a buzz.
McGregor, who is supposed to face Nate Diaz at UFC 200 on July 9, sent the Internet abuzz when he fired off a cryptic tweet, stating he has "decided to retire young:"
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.

Diaz defeated McGregor at UFC 196, but the Irishman supposed to get his chance at redemption this July. There could be truth to McGregor's tweet, considering he was rocked by the passing of Joao Carvalho, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the Octagon during a fight earlier this month.
The Dublin, Ireland native attended the Cavalho fight and posted a heartfelt message on Facebook after his passing.
"To see a young man doing what he loves, competing for a chance at a better life, and then to have it taken away is truly heartbreaking," McGregor wrote.
McGregor, 27, is the reigning UFC featherweight champion, but he may be walking away from the Octagon. He is 19-3 in his MMA career with 17 wins coming from knockout.
Diaz, 31, also took to Twitter after McGregor and announced his retirement:

This is getting weird. UFC 200 just lost both of its combatants.
