The WWE has been slammed with injuries at the worst possible time as WrestleMania is on the horizon.
WWE Soiling Rumble Match By Making It For Championship
In fact, every Superstar who won a championship at WrestleMania 31 is sidelined. Seth Rollins (World Championship/torn ACL), Daniel Bryan (Intercontinental/concussion), John Cena (U.S./shoulder), Cesaro (Tag/shoulder), Tyson Kidd (Tag/neck) and Nikki Bella (Divas/back), are all injured. Randy Orton is also unlikely to recuperate from his myriad injuries to get back in time.
Despite the odds being stacked against the WWE, there are still ways to save WrestleMania 32.
Potential Opponents For The Undertaker At WrestleMania
1) YES!leMania
Bryan has been given the green light to return from his regular doctor, but the WWE is being understandably cautious with the former World Champion. Still, if his regular doctor believes it's okay for him to return to action, the WWE should allow him to return in time to be a major player at WrestleMania, especially after the crowd went nuts following his crowning moment two years ago.
2) Get Rowdy
Ronda Rousey's appearance alongside The Rock was one of the most talked-about segments at last year's event, now it's time for the former MMA star to compete. Coming off of a knockout from Holly Holm, Rousey can rest assured that the WWE is scripted and she'll be booked to win if she comes aboard. This could also attract MMA fans.
3) Money in the Bank
The Money in the Bank Ladder Match used to be a highlight of WrestleMania, but the WWE stopped doing it after the 26th event in order to give it its own pay-per-view. The WWE needs high stakes to sell WrestleMania, and bringing the Ladder Match back to the event is at least worth considering. Then, the company can go old school and run King of the Ring in June.
4) Undertaker vs. Sting
The fans have wanted it, the WWE has even wanted it, and yet the "Deadman" and the "Vigilante" have yet to lock horns. For years, it was rumored Sting would come to the No. 1 wrestling promotion and face the Phenom, but last year, the WCW icon battled Triple H at WrestleMania, while The Undertaker took on Bray Wyatt. It's time to finally put the highly-anticipated clash on before the wrestling legends hit the retirement homes.
5) Banks Statement
The Divas Revolution has been more stagnant than a Tyler Breeze promo, but the WWE has a sure-fire way to turn things around. Sasha Banks proved in NXT she has the look, attitude and in-ring ability to be a major player, but the WWE has yet to utilize her properly on its main roster. Banks vs. Bayley III would tear the house down.
6) Rattlesnake Return
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin teased a potential clash against Brock Lesnar and then reneged, but he needs to have one final match in his home state of Texas. His career ended unceremoniously in 2003 due to a neck injury and the "Texas Rattlesnake" never had the proper in-ring sendoff. The WWE can rectify that by booking Austin in one final match to sell out spacious AT&T Stadium for WrestleMania.
