Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Jerry Jones Undeterred By Johnny Manziel's Personal Issues [VIDEO]

Despite evidence that Johnny Manziel may have serious personal issues, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones remains undeterred.

Jones reiterated his willingness to sign a young NFL quarterback who may be available during the offseason, and the only reason he isn't saying Manziel by name is due to the league's anti-tampering policy, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, via his weekly radio show.

Johnny Manziel May Be Disguising Himself Out Of NFL

"Let's just put it like this: We all would be aware that to bet on [Kellen] Moore for our backup quarterback has elements of risk to it," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "I'm not so sure that that's any riskier than anything you would do with a decision in the future. On the other hand, what would enhance me taking risk is a bigger upside. If that upside is there, that ol' risk-reward situation, then yeah. This is as far as we're going to go here now with this, because I don't want to get involved in any type of tampering situation. We'd take some risk."

That risk appears to be Manziel, who reportedly was in Las Vegas a day before the Browns' regular-season finale. He tried to disguise himself so as to not be recognized, and then posted a photo of himself with his dog on Instagram, indicating that he was in Ohio on Saturday night.

Johnny Manziel Vegas Trip A Sign He Wants Out

More recent reports have surfaced saying that the Browns sent Manziel home during the week because he was "disheveled and inebriated" at the team complex, a fact ESPN Cleveland reporter Tony Grossi confirmed on The Dan Patrick Show.

"I was told by more than one source that was the case," Grossi said. "This occurred on Wednesday, first day of the work week before the final game. I was told he was disheveled and not in working condition, let's say, and was sent home.

"... It's funny and it's weird, but deep down, I think he's a troubled person."

Manziel entered a 10-week rehabilitation stint last offseason but has had multiple run-ins during the 2015 season in which alcohol was involved. But, for Jones, Manziel's issues may be viewed only as a greater challenge to overcome on the road toward greatness.
