Tonight at 7 p.m. PT UFC 195 will get underway, featuring welterweight champion Robbie Lawler (26-10) taking on Carlos Condit (18-10), as well as a heavyweight eliminator between Andrei Arlovski (25-10) and Stipe Micocic (10-2). Lawler, 33, has been on quite a run since his last loss in May 2014. Since then Lawler is 4-0 with two knockouts. He avenged the loss to Johny Hendricks, and knocked out Rory MacDonald in July in what was arguably the Fight of the Year in 2015. His nickname is “Ruthless,” but his opponent, Condit, thinks that nickname can apply to everyone in the division.
Five Fights That Will Make 2016 The Best Year Ever For The UFC
"The competitors in the division right now are just straight killers. The top 15 is a murderers' row,” Condit said.
"The consensus I'm getting is that this fight is going to be an amazing display of mixed martial arts ability -- and violence. I feel like that's one of the reasons I, personally, have a fan following. I'm not super polished. Things don't always go my way in the cage. But no matter what, I'm trying to finish."

Condit’s fights have a way of “finishing” early, regardless of the winner. Condit is fighting for his relevance, having gone 2-3 in his last five fights, but 2-1 in his last three. He defeated Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves by TKO, sandwiching a TKO loss to Tyron Woodley.
Lawler told ESPN that he’s focused solely on improving as a fighter each time he steps into the octagon, but Condit is fighting for glory.
I'm proud of what I've done in this sport. I picked this up as a hobby when I was 15, looking up gyms in the phone book and happening to walk into Jackson's. I'm proud of everything I've accomplished, but I want to be in the Hall of Fame. I want to be remembered in that way."
He has to beat Lawler to do that.
Prediction: Lawler def. Condit by TKO (Round 3)
