Tim Tebow Rumors: Former Heisman Trophy Winner Spotted Throwing With College Team [VIDEO]

Tim Tebow was spotted throwing with the Southern Oregon University Raiders during their practice for the NAIA National Championship in Daytona, Florida. This could mean that Tebow might be thinking of a new gig – coaching.

It’s more likely it means Tebow was lending some support to a close friend. The Raiders’ coach is Craig Howard, who coached Tebow in high school at Allen D. Nease High School and won a state title.

Olivia Culpo Doesn't Miss Tebow All That Much

“He was the best,” Tebow told KDRV. “He was more than just a great play caller, more than just a great motivator, he was a great man and he’s a father figure. He taught us about character, strength and honor, to right, do your best and treat others the way you want to be treated. Those were lessons that I still try to carry with me to this day.”

Howard is clearly still having success even without Tebow there to carry the load, but to this day Tebow remains one of the best players Howard has coached.

Bengals, Colts Should Consider Buying Into Tebowmania

“I really believed that he was going to do something special in this game and in life because of the quality man he is. He was a joy to coach; never met a finer competitor and a better warrior than Timmy Tebow.”

Tebow reportedly prayed with the team and gave them insight on how to handle big games, which, for all the criticism he’s faced, Tebow knows a thing or two about. He won two national titles with the Florida Gators, and stunned the Steelers with an 80-yard touchdown pass in overtime in the AFC playoffs. Tebow did inform the team that he wouldn’t be around for their championship game.
