Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski probably won’t want to hear this, but he needs to chill out. Furthermore, he needs to dial down the intensity of his coaching staff just a bit to avoid an incident. On Wednesday night an Indiana player named Max Bielfeldt bumped Coach K at halftime on his way to the locker room and the Dukies were ready to duke it out.

In case you missed it in the video, not only did Krzyzewski look at Bielfeldt as if he had desecrated holy ground, Coach K’s assistant coach Jeff Capel started shouting at him and looked ready to throw down. Reporters covering the game brought attention to it on social media.
Duke Lands Top Recruit In The Country
So evidently an Indiana player bumped K, Capel went after the player, cooler heads prevailed. Crazy stuff.

On film, it did not look like a disrespectful or intentional bump by the Indiana player, but rather an issue of large human beings trying to maneuver in a relatively small space. Coach K didn’t initially see it that way, however, and got pretty gangsta in the heat of the moment judging from his comments to the Raleigh News and Observer.
“Where I’m from, when you get hit, you do something,” Coach K said. Luckily for the sport of college basketball he took the high road.
“I didn’t even know what the hell happened. All of a sudden, boom, I got hit. … It was probably an accident. I don’t blame anybody, and I didn’t want it to become, that shouldn’t be the thing in this game.”
UNC Has Better Odds to Win Title Than Duke
The moral of the story is that Duke needs to chill. They won by 20, took home a fifth consecutive victory, and have one of the best teams in the country. Even is Bielfeldt bumped him Coach K on purpose, let him live Dukies.
