The Survivor Series may be dubbed as the November Classic, but this year's event didn't live up to the moniker, even with a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
AJ Lee's Book To Reveal Scandalous Details About Her Career
In the end, there were no heel turns, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament meant nothing. Roman Reigns defeated Dean Ambrose in the finals to capture the gold for the first time, but after the match, Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the belt.
After Reigns' triumph, Triple H came out to congratulate him and shake his hand. Reigns speared "The Game," but turned around to a Brogue Kick by "The Celtic Warrior," who then cashed in his contract. Reigns initially kicked out, but Sheamus nailed another one to win the gold for the fourth time.

While it wasn't the best night for the WWE, here are some of the highlights from the 2015 edition of Survivor Series:
Tradition Lives On
Though they had little storyline implication and were thrown together, the WWE at least provided fans with some traditional Survivor Series matches. One of them occurred on the pre-show, while the other was the third match on the regular card. The babyface team won each clash, and Goldust made a surprising return.
25 Years Of 'Taker
The Undertaker celebrated his silver anniversary by teaming up with Kane to take on Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Though the match wasn't a classic, The Undertaker went over after hitting a Tombstone on "The Eater of Worlds." Wyatt somehow didn't pick the biggest, strongest guy in the group, Braun Strowman to compete, and he was double chokeslammed through a table for good measure. Once again, Wyatt lost at a major event.
Wow. How can someone be the new face of fear if his face is starring at the ceiling on every PPV? #SurvivorSeries

Sheamus and King Barrett teamed up with The New Day, but as usual, they didn't get very far in the match.

Strong Semis
The semifinals of the WWE Championship tournament kicked off the show, as Roman Reigns had a solid encounter with Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose overcame Kevin Owens, who pulled off an astounding back flip off the top rope during the contest.

Match of the Night
Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns.
3 Stars of the Night
3) The Undertaker: He celebrated 25 years with the company, even if it wasn't the most exciting match ever.
2) Roman Reigns. Two solid matches, and Ambrose deserves an honorable mention.
1) Sheamus. Like it or hate it, to go from looking like crap in a traditional match to being WWE World Heavyweight Champion is a pretty good night.
Show Grade
The expectations for this show were pretty mild given the lackluster buildup and the lack of focus on the traditional matches. The crowd was mostly dead throughout the evening, which is a pretty good indication of how the show was. With meaningless traditional matches, the tournament being nullified by a Sheamus cash-in and The Undertaker's match not being all that fun, this show gets a C.
