As has been his go-to activity ever since he's been sidelined with a left triceps injury, WWE Superstar John Cena took to Twitter to update the WWE Universe on his recovery and to dispel any thoughts from his peers that he's been enjoying his time off. Cena, who has been sidelined since Aug. 19 with the injury and isn't expected back until January, said he's looking to come back even stronger:
Most @WWEUniverse @WWE superstars keep asking me if I'm enjoying my time 'off'. 'Off'= therapy 2times/day + strength = #evenstronger

Cena has been updating his fans of his status through Twitter, even posting workout videos as well of photos of how his stitched up surgical wound is progressing and healing.
Cena last wrestled at the WWE's SummerSlam pay-per-view on Aug. 18 where he dropped the WWE title to Daniel Bryan who lost it moments later to a Money in the Bank cash-in by Randy Orton who aligned himself with Triple H to set up the main storyline going forward. Cena wrestled with a cast to cover up his injury and he wrestled hurt despite the fluid in his elbow from the triceps injury making his elbow balloon out.
Cena then announced on the following night's Monday Night RAW that he was undergoing surgery that was slated to sideline the superstar for 4-6 months, with the most likely return date being January's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Cena has kept busy outside of the ring, as Wrestling Inc. reports he's involved in a Capri Sun promotion that involves "Kids vs. Pros" as its theme, with Cena being one of the pros.
Cena has been making plenty of headlines out of the ring with his injury updates, and has also made news due to his involvement with WWE Diva Nikki Bella, whom he recently moved in with. Cena was involved in E!'s Total Divas television show due to his involvement with Bella, and he recently said on their Total Divas After Party show that wrapped up the opening season's first half that he had no plans to get married after he recently went through a dramatic split with his ex-wife Elizabeth Huberdeau.
Cena also dispelled rumors that he was going to return to WWE programming in October to be the WWE's mouthpiece for its Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative, claiming that he won't return until he can physically perform in the ring.
While a return date seems like it won't be until months away, Cena hasn't flown under the radar as he's managed to keep himself out there through Twitter and the Total Divas show, and he'll continue to update his fans one tweet at a time until the day the 11-time WWE Champion can return to in-ring action.
