Katie Nolan is the takedown queen. She went in on Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy once again, this time for his borderline violent sideline meltdown on Sunday vs. the Giants, but she snuck in a fantastic dig against ESPN.
Nolan, mocking Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for calling Hardy “one of the real leaders” of the team, compared that to being called “one of the real, rational people on First Take.”

That’s kind of a sucker punch from Nolan, but who cares? Just a few weeks ago Stephen A. Smith was threatening Kevin Durant on the air because Durant refuted a report about his free agency plans, and Skip Bayless still thinks Manny Pacquiao beat Mayweather, and Tim Tebow can play quarterback.
Overall, Nolan’s been on point twice in roasting Hardy, who has become a symbol of all the demons the NFL is trying to exorcise. Hardy was convicted of domestic violence, which involved slamming his girlfriend onto a futon covered in assault rifles, and yet he is currently employed while Ray Rice continues to search for a team. The conclusion being drawn is that Hardy, by virtue of still being an elite player at his position, is worthy of a second chance, while Rice, who had a miserable 2013 before missing 2014 on suspension, does not.

She also completely ripped the Cowboys a new one for “not helping” Hardy, whom she said has obvious anger issues. “Greg Hardy is a leader because he doesn’t like being led,” Nolan said.
“He needs help. Don’t let Jerry Jones, or Jason Garrett, or anyone in the Cowboys organization fool you into thinking they support Greg Hardy. They don’t. They support sacks. They’ll say and do whatever they can while he’s in Dallas, to get him to keep devastating offensive linemen. And when he’s done, they’ll shove him out the door a worse man than he was when he got there.”
