49ers Call Seattle 'She-Hawks?' San Francisco's Anthony Dixon Takes Shot At Seahawks [VIDEO]

If the division rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks needed any more juice heading into the two NFC West teams battle on Sunday night, San Francisco running back Anthony Dixon provided it late Wednesday night by referring to Seattle as the "She-hawks"

Dixon tweeted the following Wednesday night:

"Extra weight on the racks all week getting less sleep preparing for these She-Hawks. I love hostile environments Imma feel right at home,"

The tweet has since been deleted.

The team's both take 1-0 records into Sunday's matchup at Centurylink Field, with Seattle having disposed of Carolina 12-7 in Week 1 and San Francisco topping Green Bay with an impressive albeit somewhat controversial victory due to a flub where the referees gave the 49ers an extra third down which led to one of the team's early scoring drives. Whichever team stands tall Sunday night will remain on the top of the division and undefeated, raising the stakes for this game even if it is only Week 2.

Dixon's comments add drama to a game that will already have many eyes around the world on it as it will be broadcast nationally on NBC's Sunday Night Football.

It will be interesting to see what 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh will think of the comments, as NBC reports he's done everything he can with the media not to stir up the Seahawks heading into Sunday's game. Dixon, it would appear, didn't get the memo as he's given head coach Pete Carroll and his team some bulletin board material and more motivation to win--as if the Seahawks needed any coming into a rivalry game on national television.

The Niners were able to overcome the Seahawks in the division last season en route to their second straight division crown, but they lost badly the last time they appeared in Seattle at Centurylink Field. The 49ers have confidence coming off of a Super Bowl appearance last year where the team lost to the Baltimore Ravens 34-31, but that loss still has to stick with them.

The Last time San Francisco took a road trip to Seattle, it was slaughtered by a margin of 42-13 last Dec. 23 and Russell Wilson threw for four touchdown passes while Marshawn Lynch rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Dixon's comments may give Seattle enough motivation to achieve a similar result again.

Dixon, who made headlines last week by turning down a $24,000 offer from teammate Nnamdi Asomugha in exchange for the number 24 on his jersey, didn't have any carries in the 49ers Week 1 victory and had just two carries for eight yards in the game in Seattle last year.

Dixon, in his fourth year with the 49ers, had his best season as a rookie in 2010 where he rushed for 237 yards on 70 attempts and had two touchdowns. He's reached the end zone two times in each of his first three seasons.

Seattle has dominated San Francisco at home before, and with tweets like that coming from Dixon, the Seahawks will be raring to strike when the ball is kicked off Sunday.
